When my father passed I did a slideshow/collage-film for his viewing at the funeral home. This got me thinking about how I hadn't done one for my mother ten years before; how instead we placed various photos from her life around the room. True, over the years, I'd written poems and done triubte pieces of art for both my parents, but I still felt I wanted to do something similar for my mom as I had for my dad. Last year, recording the CD "Whispers of Arias, Volume Two" I sang a song for my mom entitled "now, in this stillness". Listening to the piece got the ball rolling for this short collage-film. Here it is mom, in memento mori, while we know your life was so much more.
